I woke up early so I have some minutes to watch Coach Steven. I CAN SMELL PEARLNET, fandom. I can smell it.
Never Take It Away (feat.Mayer Hawthorne) - The Aston Shuffle
Warring Godzillas from this month’s Wired Italia. For a column discussing the shifting symbolism of the franchise from its roots in post-Hiroshima nuclear fears, to the environmental allegory of its current big-budget incarnation.
I know, it looks like they’re hugging.
Thanks to Jeff and Joe’s storyboards, we now have silhouettes for quite a few designs for Pearl, including:
- Two Premiere designs
- Two as of yet unseen designs
These can prove pretty useful if you ever want to draw or cosplay Pearl. Obviously for the two unseen designs, liberties can be taken with her exact colors. Nonetheless, keep her color palette in mind!

In the west, mascots are just some dumb thing that occasionally amuses a small child but over in Japan it is serious business with all the sports teams trying to outdo each other in cuteness.
This is Leo, one half of Leo and Lina, the mascots of the Seibu Lions baseball team. He was designed by Osamu Tezuka, the same person who did Kimba the White Lion (Called Jungle Emporer in Japan) and it’s obvious to see the influence it had.
i really love all the subtle little reminders in steven universe that, even though garnet’s the mega strong member of the group, all of the gems have super strength -even if it’s to an extent (such as with steven)
like amethyst smacking the pinata from so many birthdays
You’ve all changed so much and not at all. Happy 1 Year, Gems!!
Foster The People “Best Friend“
I’m here, no matter where you are
So let it in with, open arms, no matter where you are
Sometimes, you’ll have to wait
And it passes by like a satellite or star
No matter where you are
I learned yesterday that when you see a bee on the ground that isn’t moving, it’s not necessarily dead, it’s probably just dead tired from carrying lots of pollen and needs re-energising. So if you mix a tiny bit of water with some sugar and let it drink it will give it the boost it needs to continue on its way. Bizarrely, this exact thing happened today! I found a knackered bee, mixed up some sugar water, gave it a drink and watched it guzzle and guzzle then suddenly come back to life. It was amazing! Thank you patrick, it was an excellent tip that i’ll never forget and will continue to pass on to others!
